These terms govern use of Hermitsh Press, the public author editions, and the read-only Hermitsh Press AI/API access surfaces.

Use of the site
You may read, search, link to, cite, and use Hermitsh Press for personal, educational, research, and other lawful purposes. Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, overload the service, scrape in a way that degrades availability, or misrepresent Hermitsh material as official scholarship from another institution.
Corpus material
Many source works presented by Hermitsh are public-domain texts. Public-domain source material remains public domain. Hermitsh-created translations, metadata, page design, compilation, and supporting materials may have separate rights or license notices unless a specific page or file says otherwise.
When quoting or relying on Hermitsh material, cite the relevant author, work, passage, and Hermitsh URL when practical.
AI, MCP, and API access
Hermitsh AI/API access is read-only and is provided to help assistants retrieve source-linked public corpus material. AI-generated answers are produced by the assistant or client you use, not by the source text itself. Always check cited passages before relying on an answer.
Do not use the API or MCP endpoint to attack the service, evade limits, harvest email addresses, or build misleading citations.
No professional advice
Hermitsh Press is a reading, research, and publishing project. It does not provide legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. Historical and literary material should be evaluated with appropriate context and judgment.
Third-party links and purchases
Hermitsh may link to third-party sites, including Kindle listings on Amazon. Those sites are controlled by their own operators. Purchases, refunds, delivery, account handling, and customer-service issues for third-party platforms are handled by those platforms under their terms.
Availability and changes
Hermitsh may change, remove, reorganize, or temporarily suspend pages, datasets, APIs, and features. The site is provided as available, without a guarantee that every page, citation, API response, or external link will always remain unchanged.
